University success for Matthew and Josh

Matthew Auld and Josh Hincks, performing arts students at Clarendon Sixth Form College have both been offered places to study at UCLan (University of Central Lancashire).

Matthew – a former Great Academy Ashton pupil and Josh – a former Rayner Stephens High School pupil, have both been accepted to study either musical theatre or theatre and performance.

UCLan, is well known for its performing arts school and Its alumni include Mandip Gill, Doctor Who actress and Lee Mavers of the band The La’s.

After leaving university, both Matthew and Josh have high aspirations for their careers. Matthew is considering a career as a cruise ship performer, whilst Josh wishes to become a teacher of acting and performance.

Matthew said: “I am very pleased to receive an offer from UCLan, it is one of the best places to study performance. Clarendon Sixth Form College has helped me massively with achieving this; giving me a routine, hardworking attitude and developing my key skills.”
