Option 1 Level 2 Art and Design
Do you want to spend your college days expressing your artistic thoughts and ideas?
Then this one-year course is for you and will provide you with the opportunity to explore and develop your creative ideas through paint, drawing, printmaking, textiles, sculpture, photography or digital media. You will have access to specialist equipment such as sewing machines, printing presses, screen printing equipment, heat presses, tufting guns, laser cutters and cameras. This course expands your creative potential ready for your next steps at a higher level or in a different direction.
Level 2 Art and Design is ideal for students who have a passion for the creative arts but may need to retake their Maths and English GCSEs. Alternatively, this is a course for students who don’t have a great deal of art and design experience and wish to develop their knowledge and practical skills further, with the goal of progressing onto a Level 3 Creative course. Alongside your art studies, all students are expected to have 100% attendance to GCSE classes in Maths and/or English (if required), tutorial and take part in work experience opportunities.
Option 2 Level 2 Fashion
Excited to design and make your own garments? Looking forward to a career in the fashion industry? Level 2 Fashion will support you to achieve these dreams.
On this one year course, you will be introduced to a wide range of fashion and textiles skills, techniques and processes to develop you as a designer. You will explore and develop your creative ideas supported by industry experienced staff, preparing you for your next steps towards your dream future. You will have access to our professional design studios and industry standard equipment, ultimately displaying your work on the catwalk at the End of Year Fashion Show!
Level 2 Fashion is designed to support students who don’t have a strong background in design and wish to develop their knowledge and skills, and those who may need to retake their Maths and English GCSE’s, ultimately progressing to our Level 3 Fashion & Textiles upon successful completion.
Whether you’re studying Art and Design, or Fashion, you’ll work with passionate staff who are experts in their fields and who will challenge you to think differently, experiment boldly, and develop your own unique creative voice.
