Megan ‘hits’ the radio studio for career advice

Megan Bond, an A-level student at Clarendon Sixth Form College is planning for an exciting career in journalism after visiting the studios of Hits Radio.

Megan, a former Copley Academy pupil, was invited by Sue Green, account director at Hits Radio, to spend the day at the studios, after meeting her at a college careers event.

Hits Radio, owned by Bauer Media, is one of the largest radio stations in the UK and is broadcast across the country. Its content includes the latest music, news, sports and interviews.

Megan, said: “The visit to Hits Radio was a great opportunity to find out more about journalism and radio. Sue was really helpful, answered all my questions and introduced me to everyone. I am grateful to her for taking time out of her day to help me with my studies. I have learnt a lot from this experience and hope that I can build on this in the future. My teachers at Clarendon Sixth Form College have had a massive impact on my confidence and helped me improve my abilities.”

After leaving Clarendon Sixth Form College, Mega hopes to study journalism, with a focus on radio, at Salford University.
