Show is extravaganza of student talent

Performing arts students at Clarendon Sixth Form College showcase talents with end of year show.

Level 3 acting and dance students hosted the performance, which this year is named ‘Ambivalence’, on Wednesday 29th November to family, friends and special guests.

The performance, which focused on the themes of ‘expectations versus reality’, featured choreographed dances pieces, acting performances and singing which were brought together to form the finished article.

This is the first year in which students have developed, planned, rehearsed and performed a show independently, with students having full creative control over the performance.

Michelle Forrest, performing arts teacher at Clarendon Sixth Form College, said: “The second year students have worked incredibly hard to bring their individual pieces into a group context in such a short amount of time. This has been a valuable experience that has given them insight into the creative journey of devising, rehearsing and performing a show. We are very proud of each and every one of them.”

Students regularly host performances throughout the year to hone their talents and develop their portfolio of work in the industry.
